👋 You're looking around as a guest. Every room here is real — saving a home, messaging and your own profile just need an account.
How this space protects you
🛡️ Trust, Vetting & Safeguarding
Everyone here — landlord, estate agent, or house-sharer — is held to the same care, because the people this community was built for are targeted by exploiters far too often. Safety here isn't a form you find after the harm. It's friction built into the app itself.

🧐 Who is vetted, and how
🏠 Landlords
- Sign the Neuroaffirming Pledge before a single listing goes live.
- Complete the sensory audit for every room — lighting, sound, smells — told in plain words.
- Tenant reviews stay on the record, even after the tenant has moved on.
- Pledge breaches get logged quietly. Repeat breaches remove the listing.
🏛️ Estate agents
- Must name the agency and the landlord on every listing. No anonymous fronts.
- The pledge binds them personally — it cannot be delegated to a company.
- Pressure tactics on viewers, like 'you must decide today', are treated as a safety breach.
🫂 House & flat sharers
- Agree to the Gentle Communication Agreement before their first post or reply.
- No one sees a real name or profile until both people choose Safe Match.
- Reviews from past housemates travel with the household, not just the room.
🛡️ The Exploit Shield
Exploiters pick people who are direct, trusting, and hungry for a safe home. So the shield isn't advice — it's rules the whole platform runs on.
No money inside chats. Ever.. Deposits, bank transfers, and payment links are against the rules in messages. Anyone who asks for money, bank details, or gift vouchers is breaking the pledge and gets reviewed.
No identity documents.. We never need scans of your passport, benefits letters, or diagnosis papers — and nobody in a chat has any right to ask for them either.
Slow trust by design.. Your real name, contact details, and full profile stay hidden until you both choose Safe Match. Exploiters move fast; this app simply won't let them.
Off-platform pressure gets named.. 'Let's move to WhatsApp' in the very first chat is a known exploit move. Staying here keeps the history, and the protection, on your side.
🧭 How to spot the pattern, in plain words
If any of this is happening to you, it is not your fault. Exploiters choose kind people on purpose. Knowing the shapes just makes them easier to see.
Love-bombing. 'I've never met anyone like you' within days, or a landlord who suddenly feels like a new best friend.
Manufactured urgency. 'Five other people want it, decide today.' A safe home does not sell like a flash sale.
Secrecy. 'Don't mention this to support' or 'keep it between us'. Isolation is the first move of every exploiter.
Vulnerability fishing. Someone collecting your struggles, benefits, or diagnosis details unusually early is collecting leverage, not being kind.
Moving you off-platform fast. Pushing you to another app before trust exists. If it feels like a rush, it is one.
If any of this is happening, use Safety & Reporting. You never have to prove you were targeted. Reporting is believed, first time.
